Transcurrent displacement of the Cadomian magmatic arc

• Ordovician and Lower Devonian OMZ rocks contain an important 1 Ga detrital zircon population. Sahara metacraton provided the grains in Ordovician-Devonian rocks. equivalent terranes were translated eastwards during final Cadomian tectonics. The Ossa-Morena Zone Iberia, northern France Central Europe, are thought to be paleogeographically linked West African Craton at Ediacaran early Paleozoic times. Evidence is mainly based on metasedimentary rock age spectra, characterized by two dominant populations of Paleoproterozoic Cryogenian-Ediacaran ages, with a systematic lack late Stenian – Tonian grains. We report here U-Pb-Hf results from six Zone.
